IN MEMORIAM

Dr. Sanford Osher

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing  of our good friend and contributor Dr. Sandy Osher in January 2026.

Dr. Osher was a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and practiced in Cincinnati, Ohio. He specialized in  minimally invasive reproductive surgery.

He was recognized world-wide as a pioneer in minimally invasive surgery. He was at the cutting-edge of the dawn of laparoscopic surgery. He trained a large number of surgeons in minimally invasive surgery, both domestic and internationally.

He was well respected by his patients and recognized for his personal care. Besides his passion for Medicine,  Sandy enjoyed musical theater. He was a member of the League of Cincinnati Theatres Panel, and the Acclaim Panel.

Sandy had a great appreciation for the outdoors and animals of all kinds. He loved visiting the Cincinnati Zoo,  hiking, canoeing, and exploring remote areas of the world.

A world-traveler, Dr. Osher participated in many international missions of care where he used his surgical skills and teaching capabilities to provide aid and assistance to those impacted by natural disasters. Although not willing to talk much about it, Dr. Osher was one of the first physicians on the ground immediately following the 2010 earthquake in Haiti.

Clinical Anatomy Associates, Inc is proud to have had Dr. Osher as a friend and contributor to "Medical Terminology Daily" and as a consultant to our team. He will be greatly missed
